Job Description:
- We’re looking for passionate and curious engineering interns who are eager to learn and contribute to real-world, large-scale applications. As an intern, you’ll be part of a fast-paced, collaborative team and get hands-on experience working on impactful products
What You’ll Do:
- Data Collection & Preparation: Source, clean, and organise data from internal systems.
- SQL Reporting & Analysis: Write efficient SQL queries to extract insights, support cohort analysis, and feed dashboards. Intermediate SQL proficiency required.
- Dashboard Development: Design and build automated dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or internal BI tools to track claims performance, underwriting trends, customer behaviour, and key KPIs.
- Visualization & Interpretation: Create graphs and visual summaries to support decision-making by product, claims, and underwriting teams.
- Ad-hoc Analysis & Insight Generation: Analyse trends such as fraud patterns, claim turnaround, policy renewals. Present findings with actionable recommendations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across actuarial, claims, finance, and product to define requirements, validate data, and implement solutions.
- Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain documentation: data dictionaries, query specs, dashboard guides. Suggest improvements in data pipelines or workflows.
- Presentations & Reporting: Present weekly/monthly insights to internal stakeholders, summarising trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Currently in or recently graduated from a Tier-1/2 college in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related fields.
- Intermediate-level SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, window functions.
- Basic understanding of dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
- Solid analytical thinking, attention to detail.
- Excellent communication able to interpret data for non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Python/R for data analysis or scripting.
- Familiarity with data modelling, data warehousing, or ETL concepts.
