Job Description For Risk Analyst:
This is an opportunity to take part in a new and exciting program which will impact so many users around the world. When identifying fraud trends and releasing an E2E solution to mitigate them you can protect a huge amount of victims that are being deceived to send money and manipulated by bad actors. The program has high leadership visibility and involvement.
Your day to day:
In your day-to-day role, you will;
- Thoroughly examine customer account activity and information to uncover potential fraudulent activities or reasons behind dispute filings. The objective is to effectively differentiate between customers with malicious intent and those genuinely raising disputes.
- Review suspicious accounts to validate the solutions accuracy
- Monitor scam activity across PayPal’s products, identifying patterns and address the scammers to protect the innocent users.
- Identify gaps in processes that impact users, and utilize analytics to combine top-down (data-driven insights) with bottom-up (manual accounts reviews) approaches.
What do you need to bring:
- A good understanding of Risk and Fraud prevention would be preferred
- Familiarity with front office and back office tools for the purpose of reviewing consumer/seller accounts and resolving customer issues is preferred
- Adapts well to change and thrives in a collaborative team environment
- Strong communication skills - Good storyteller and communicator
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Self-learner, able to work independently, highly organized, "can-do" approach
- Proficiency in using SQL and Excel for data querying and manipulation – advantage
Job Description For Testing Analyst:
- Second Line Testing Team is responsible for performing risk and compliance testing to ensure that we implement the appropriate controls, monitoring and reporting to satisfy our obligations to the appropriate regulatory authorities internally/externally and meet the demands of our customers.
Your day to day:
- Execute and complete Second Line Testing assignments, evaluate and communicate test results, and document work papers clearly and timely.
- Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls relating to risks in accordance with our risk management methodology and the established risk assessment framework.
- Support scoping and planning by thoroughly researching relevant topics and leading walkthrough meetings with key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to assist managers and senior managers while assuming responsibility for complex process areas.
- Proactively develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, the business, and respective support areas; work in an integrated manner with fellow team members both locally and globally.
What do you need to bring-
- Audit experience – Preferably in Big 4 and/or Financial Services industry.
- Have working knowledge of scoping tests of controls, risk identification, control identification, how those fit into an overall Risk Management Framework, and various testing methodologies over controls.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to influence and work across organizational boundaries to drive complex delivery challenges.
- Must have a strong understanding and working knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance testing design, management, and execution.
- Strong business and technical insight, with the ability to quickly understand and communicate technical ideas and challenges across a broad audience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skills (proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
- Ability to focus on desired results, determining what is important and urgent, clarifying next steps, and delegating effectively to meet deadlines and achieve desired results.
- Self-starter, motivated individual who can move a project / test forward with little direction and/or guidance, willingness to ask the right questions, engage appropriate points of contact to launch tests from conception into motion.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and knowledge of multiple functions within PayPal.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure.
- Must display a high level of professionalism, sound judgement, commitment, integrity, teamwork, and customer service.
