Job Description:

Synopsys software engineers are key enablers in the world of Electronic Design Automation (EDA), developing and maintaining software used in chip design, verification and manufacturing. They work on assignments like designing, developing, and troubleshooting software, leveraging the state-of-the-art technologies like AI/ML, GenAI and Cloud. Their critical contributions enable world-wide EDA designers to extend the frontiers of semiconductors and chip development.

You are a passionate early-career engineer eager to make your mark in the semiconductor industry. With a solid academic background in electronics, electrical, or computer engineering, you have a strong foundation in digital design and verification. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy solving technical challenges, especially those related to protocol technologies and Verification IP solutions.

You bring curiosity and analytical skills to dissect complex issues and optimize processes. Confident communication comes naturally to you, whether working with customers or teammates. You are comfortable with Linux environments and possess basic programming skills in Python or C/C++. Exposure to Verilog, System Verilog, and protocols like AMBA, UART, SPI, or UFS is an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • BTech or MTech in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields from reputed institutes.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in digital design or verification (internships, projects, or coursework welcomed).
  • Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals and verification concepts.
  • Basic proficiency in Linux environments and scripting.
  • Programming knowledge in Python and/or C/C++ fundamentals.
  • Exposure to Verilog and SystemVerilog languages.
  • Preferred: Experience with UVM (Universal Verification Methodology) and familiarity with protocols like AMBA, UART, SPI, or UFS. 
What You’ll Need:
  • Fresh graduate from the class of 2025 in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Not currently enrolled in any M-Tech programs or postgraduate diplomas.
  • Not employed in any full-time positions at any company.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Perl, and TCL.
  • Familiarity with Custom Compiler/Virtuoso, circuit and layout automation.
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Understanding of test-driven development, unit testing, and functional testing.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, especially Git and PERFORCE.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute innovative solutions.
  • Limited internship experience is acceptable.
