Your Role and Responsibilities :
- As a Student/Intern: Generalist, you will be employed by IBM as part of your academic program or during university breaks.
- This role is designed for students who are looking to gain professional experience while pursuing their education. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assist with projects: You will contribute to various projects and tasks, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to different aspects of the business. This is an opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a professional setting.
- Support teams: You will work alongside experienced professionals, supporting them in their daily tasks and learning from their expertise. This will help you build relationships and gain insight into different roles within the organization.
- Participate in learning opportunities: As a student/intern, you will have access to various learning resources and training programs. You will participate in these opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills, preparing you for future roles.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise :
- Hands-on Core Java, OOAD, Design Patterns, Data Structures and Algorithms. Develop both end-user applications, APIs services and libraries. • Hands on experience in Product Development projects.
- Experience in Microservices (gRPC/REST), Docker, Kubernetes, IDL (Protobuf, Thrift etc.), NoSQL databases, Big Data is a plus.
- Familiarity with Git and Linux.
- Take ownership in solving problems and delivering results
- Experience writing user stories and breaking stories down into tasks and sub-tasks • Consistently willing to learn and improve
