Short Description:

  • Worked on real time control development for various automotive domain (powertrain, body control, vehicle dynamics, energy management.)

Qualifications and Job Responsibilities:

  • Experience working on C and Data Structures is mandatory
  • Experience in embedded software development in C on both RTOS and bare metal environments.
  • Hands-on hardware bring-up, code optimization and system debugging.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety integrity levels
  • Understanding of RTOS concepts like booting, scheduling algorithms, memory management, resource distribution, power management etc.
  • Technical Safety Concepts - RAM test, ROM test, Lock step, CPU test, MPU, OS configurations would be a big plus
  • Experience with 16/32 bits NXP, TI, Renesas, Microchip etc. MCUs with different MCU architecture
  • Experience with communication protocols such as CAN(-FD), J1939, UDS, Automotive Ethernet, SPI, UART, I2C.
  • Experience with Vector CAN Tools (CANalyzer, CANoe), Ethernet tools, Emulators, Debuggers, and Compilers
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and Agile Software Development is desired

What will your job look like?

  • Systems Engineers are responsible for designing and implementing short and long-term strategic goals for managing and maintaining systems and software.
  • The Systems Engineer helps define systems architecture and provides vision, problem anticipation and problem-solving ability to the organization.
  • Additionally, the Systems Engineer is familiar with a variety of the organization’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • The Systems Engineer relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of tasks and duties as assigned.
  • They provide their expertise and architectural assistance to other IT personnel including software teams, System Analysts and Engineers.
  • In addition, they must make sure that all planned and in-place system architectures are aligned with the specific firm’s goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position will participate in technical initiatives related to the design, implementation, monitoring, problem resolution, disaster planning and overall maintenance of IT systems infrastructure.
  • Work closely with the Operations group to ensure smooth planning, implementation of systems and services. 
  • Develop partnerships with key vendors, procure equipment and maintain ongoing relationships to provide continuous system improvements. 
  • Interface with representatives of business units, and technology groups to define requirements and process needed to provision systems and services. 
  • Maintain the systems roadmap for EOS dates, improvements and upgrades and capacity planning functions.  
  • Develop and maintain the architecture roadmap for the data and security of systems based on service development and demand to support existing and evolving system services.   
  • Develop plans to grow the systems infrastructure to meet the group’s evolving service requirements.  
  • Participate in all technical aspects of IT service technology, cloud services, virtualization, storage, and security projects including, short- and long-term planning. 
  • Help evaluate and select systems hardware, software, and services to fulfill various businesses needs as requirements develop. 
  • Perform system management functions/troubleshooting/capacity planning/performance monitoring utilizing various systems management/analysis tools. 
  • Provide technical support, operations and problem resolution of systems infrastructure as required, including 24X7 on-call support.
