SDET role focused on building robust automation frameworks and Work closely with developers QA engineers and product managers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery.
- CI CD Integration Integrate automated tests into CI CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions Azure DevOps).
- Collaboration Work closely with developers QA engineers and product managers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery.
- Defect Management Identify log and track software defects assist in root cause analysis and debugging.
- Cross Browser Testing Ensure compatibility across multiple browsers and platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud based test execution platforms (e.g. Sauce Labs BrowserStack).
- Familiarity with performance and security testing concepts.
Technical Skills
- Develop and Maintain Automation Scripts: Create robust reusable and maintainable automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript TypeScript preferred).
- Test Planning: Design and implement test plans test cases and automation frameworks for functional regression and integration testing.
- Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
- Best Practices: Advocate for automation best practices and maintain test documentation.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
- Programming: Code in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#. Understand Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Automation: Use tools like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress to build test scripts.
- Database Skills: Write basic SQL queries to check data in databases.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Use Jenkins or GitHub Actions to automate the testing process.
- Soft Skills: Problem-solve and communicate well with developers and project managers.
